Mrs. Nancy Marie Blackwell, 79, of Chesnee, SC, died at her home, Sunday, December 5, 2010. She was the wife of Walter Bud Blackwell of the residence and the daughter of the late Dexter and Zelia Padgett Nodine.

She was retired from John H. Montgomery Mills and was a member of State Line Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Blackwell is survived by one daughter, Donna (Bobby) Dedmond of Chesnee; two sons, Mike ( Jean) Blackwell of Campobello and Phil (Judy) of Chesnee; one brother, Ryan Nodine of Fingerville; seven grandchildren, Sonja (L.C.) Robbins of Chesnee, Melissa Berry of Boiling Springs, Lucie Battendier of Boiling Springs, Heather (Scott) Blackwell of Chesnee, Shane (Jennifer) D'amico of Chesnee, Nikki Dedmond of Chesnee, and Scott (Eve) Shelton of Spartanburg; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kim Blackwell.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Fingerville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Fleming and Mr. Eugene McKinney officiating. Interment will follow.
